New Products at Ulta💄

Here as we try to keep you informed, are some of the new products that are available at Ulta. We’ll look over the products that most of us hasn’t tried yet, but there are some reviews available for us to check out:

Okay, okay let’s take it with an open mind……we know it’s Becca. But this is a collector’s edition of their new glow body stick. While there no reviews for this product yet, do you just love the packaging? Now just remember, while they do reference this as a glow stick, they mean it because the stick is oil-based. If you have an issue with oil or you are known to have oil clog up your pores, you may want to stay away from this product.

Now I will say that First Aid Beauty and quickly become one of my favorites when it comes to cleaning and rehydrating my skin. Now there have released this conditioning eye makeup remover that I personally cannot wait to try out. I would usually use a primer base by NYX or Too Faced before applying eye shadow, so I’m excited to see how this makeup remover will work to counter those products. While there are no reviews yet, I would love to know what people think of the product, especially those of us with sensitive eyes.

Okay, don’t blame me but when I saw this product I wasn’t too thrilled to try it. I’ve used their peel-off masks previously and will say that I favored one out of all of them, which was a little disappointing. If you don’t know I Dew Care is a Korean-based beauty product that has become very popular in the United States, especially since being introduced to the shelves at your local Ulta store. This particular product is called a makeup remover balm, which sounded a bit counterproductive if I am applying a balm to take off my makeup. As I looked further into the product description, I found out that this balm paste transforms into an oil, which make removing the makeup easier. While I does have blueberry extract and jojoba oil in the product, I’m wondering if the product needs to be massaged on the face and are you to simple wipe off with a cotton pad and then wash the face? We will see when the reviews come in!

Can we be honest here? When is the last time you’ve seen a BH Cosmetics product get rave reviews? It seems the cosmetics company has put out products that have not sold well in the recent years, or have lacked to get new customers. I believe this Stellar Collision eyeshadow and highlighter palette is an opportunity for BH to get back on top and cater to the ever-changing beauty community. With 17 shades, BH says that they can be used as eyeshadows or as toppers or highlighters. The site doesn’t specify how to use it as a topper compared to using as a shadow, but I’m going to take a healthy guess and assume that you’ll want to use a brush to make it an eyeshadow and do a topper with your finger or a small sponge applicator 🤷🏽‍♀️

✨New products at Sephora – Sept. 2018

Last week, we discussed some of the new products that were available at Ulta stores all over the country. For this one, we won’t cover the ones that have we’ve already chatted about. With Sephora considered to be a ‘high end’ makeup store, they are likely to provide us with more products that are exclusive to Sephora. Let’s see what they have so far:

 

 

Okay, okay I know what you are saying. ‘Dee, that’s not a new product’. But, my friend, I believe it is worth mentioning, based on its value. While this holiday set does have some of Too Faced’s amazing products, what caught my eye was this exclusive 24-color eyeshadow palette. So, this palette promises a combination of mattes, metallics, shimmers and a highlighter. Bronzers, mascara, the Hangover spray….$357 value for $58. Very nicely priced.

 

 

Any new Fenty highlighter is always a treat to makeup lovers. This glitter is for the body and I can’t wait to see more reviews as they come in. With Currently 118 reviews, this product is getting 4.5 out of 5. Amazing!

 

 

Natasha Denona has done it again with this new, all matte eyeshadow palette. While a lot of palettes provide a combination of mattes and shimmers, this one is for the expert blender. This eyeshadow palette promises zero-fallout in grey, warm, and reddish tones. 

 

 

This is Pat McGrath’s new eyeshadow palette, Mothership V in Bronze Seduction. Yes, I know you are looking at the price point and well, it is Pat McGrath. She’s known to provide high-end, luxurious shadow colors. This palette is said to give you single-stroke, highlight and defining with seamless blendability.

 

 

Okay, this threw us for a loop. This is a seasonal product for those gingerbread lovers. Now, if you don’t like gingerbread….well, you just out of luck with trying this matte lipstick because its scented. Too bad.

 

Now this one looks so appealing. This highlighter palette has a wonderful play on luxurious gold bars. Available for $58, this highlighter palette comes with gold, soft pink, rose gold, and a high-shimmer bronze.

 

 

 

New products from Ulta – Sep. 2018

With all the craziness going on with the Jaclyn Hill Vault palette, I thought it would be a great to see what Ulta has new this month. But of course, we’ll get on the reviews that are finally in on Too Faced’s latest collection too (girl).  But let’s check out what’s new this month:

 

Okay, this first one I sneaked in only because its posted by Ulta, but its not available. What I’m not too sure about is why this product from Becca is showing as ‘coming soon’ when I haven’t seen many other brands practice this type of early marketing. This eyeshadow palette has a combination of mattes, a couple of metallics, but mostly shimmers. This palette is a limited edition so you might want to determine sooner than later if you want to spend the money on this palette before they sell out.

 

 

From Morphe comes a new matte lipstick collection with 5 colors (Ex (shown), Tempt, Honey, Fling, and Lust). These mattes are said to be deeply pigmented and long-wearing. We’re told that wherever this lipstick goes on your lips, it stays….and its full coverage.

 

I guess this is the red shade version of the matte lipstick collection. Full coverage, lock-in matte formula and deeply Pigmented. You’ll find this collection in Morphe (shown), Steamy, Tease, Dominate, and Lover. Guess Morphe is rolling with the suggestive names this time.

 

 

So Patrick Starrr has released his eyeshadow and lip kits. Let’s see what both eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks have to offer: 

Okay, can’t wait to see the reviews as they come in for this new MAC product. Now, if you remember, we mentioned the Too Faced Tutti Frutti collection. Let’s see what people have to say about some of the products and its rating so far:

 

I did mention before that surprisingly, there were no reviews by the time we made the initial post about this collection. There are a few in which there seems to be mixed reviews so far. 

 

This new foundation from Too Faced says that its a full coverage, dewy foundation. Its meant to give your skin that brightening glow and infused with vitamin C, watermelon, and cucumber.  Here is how the product is doing among Ulta customers:

 

Some positive reviews of the customers say that this product smells really good, with the smell of watermelon, and the smell gradually disappears as you blend out the product. They also said that the product is buildable and leaves the skin hydrated and looking smooth. Now, with this product, I’ve noticed that when there is a review, this product is considered really good, or really bad. There seems to be very little mediocre ratings. Some of the dissatisfied customers said that this foundation was patchy and while others said the product turned orange after application. A few reviews mentioned that the product made dry skin look greasy and had a difficult time finding a match for their shade range.

This particular collection of foundation is 20 shades, in which I am going to personally assume that Too Faced will likely add additional shades in the future. Here’s the last product that a lot of people were waiting on:

 

Now this setting spray was something I was personally looking forward to. While I’ve been a lover of particular setting sprays and the way they make my makeup look, I am always willing to try something new. Here is what the reviews look like for this product:

 

With a look at the reviews associated with this setting spray, I was a bit shocked. This ‘Dew You’ setting spray is the suggestion to the Tutti Frutti collection. Customers said this setting spray smells great, while quite a number of customers said the pump to the bottle broke, in which they had to return the product.
