My Allure Beauty Box truth

So, first off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting me. The blog, the store, elderly family, the dog….they all can be down right demanding. But doing this with you, its a new journey and I love it, I truly do. So, do to the requests, I have decided to release the video that made me cancel the Allure Beauty Box subscription.

Now, in releasing this video I will tell you this: I was nervous. Nervous about the backlash of not being on the Allure Beauty Box ‘Love it’ group. I wanted to be in that group, I wanted to like the Allure box, every single box and every single item. But I would like to be honest with my audience, no matter how big or small. I truly believe, with the understanding of lack of statistical data, in replacement of demographical marketing, and management…..it doesn’t matter if I like the Allure Beauty Box. It doesn’t matter if you like the Allure Beauty Box either. Allure is getting marketing, good or bad. We are talking about them, and to be honest, I commend them for that.

But as a subscriber with an expectation of products, it didm’t work for me. So, without further ado, here is the video. Please, I welcome all comments, suggestions, gripes…..bring it all. I love you all!!!!!!

Fashion Designer: Jean Paul Gaultier

Affectionately known as the ‘bad boy of fashion’, Jean Paul Gaultier is a name that cannot be denied. While not formally trained, Gaultier is known for many notable works, including working with Hermès. He’s also known for his outlook on the world of fashion, taking on fashion norms and destroying them. After visiting his website, I was intrigued at how he looks at himself. Per his website,

A man of conviction, he sees himself more as a revolutionary, systematically calling into question clichés, standards, codes, conventions and traditions. He turns, shifts and flips them around – even destroys them – in his bid to reinvent them. (jeanpaulgaultier.com)

Gaultier is also known for other things other than simply his contribution to fashion, on the surface. This edgy designer is known to bend, if not, destroy the silent code of slim, young models for older ones, pierced and even tattooed or overweight ones.

What is also interesting in which people also know Gualtier well for, is his major contribution to the haute couture with amazingly elegant designs. Let’s not forget his fragrance:

‘Le Male’ Collector’s Edition

Gaultier has contributed so much amazing fashion since the 1970s, in which its rather difficult to say what is considered to be some of his best work. Nonetheless, its absolutely exhilarating to at least try. Her are some of my favorites of Gultier’s work:

New at Sephora

While some of us have seen some of these products on other websites or other stores, these are new for Sephora. Personally, I am shocked that Christian Louboutin decided to allow a major makeup store to carry their product. Check them out!

Fashion Designer: Lan Yu

Lan Yu is an internationally recognized fashion designer based in Beijing, China, known for her elaborate designs and wedding gowns. With a store in New York City, Yu’s iconic peices are available to the public, including a ready-to-wear collection. On the official website, you can even found out what of Lan Yn’s current collection is trending. Sit back and enjoy her beautiful work.

This fashion set was something that I could not scroll past. I definitely think that the colors brings the set forward and makes you want to take out a second or two….or more to admire it.
